Altar Serving
Liturgical support at the altar of God
Knights and Ladies of Accra West Grand support solemn worship by assisting at the altar — preparing the sacred space, coordinating servers, and helping clergy celebrate Mass with reverence.

FirstAbout This Ministry
Altar serving is a ministry of presence and precision. Members assist with preparation before Mass, support acolytes and liturgical ministers where parishes permit, and ensure the sanctuary reflects the dignity of Catholic worship.
Commanderies coordinate with parish priests and liturgy committees so KSJI members serve humbly, punctually, and in harmony with diocesan liturgical norms.
During feast days, memorial masses, and Grand celebrations, altar teams work closely with the Grand Chaplain and local clergy to maintain order and devotion at the altar.
How We Serve
Before Mass
Arrive early, inspect readiness, and assist clergy as directed.
During Mass
Serve with attention, silence, and respect for the Eucharist.
After Mass
