About the Grand Chaplain
The Grand Chaplain provides spiritual direction, celebrates memorial masses, and ensures that the Knights and Ladies of Accra West remain rooted in Catholic faith and sacramental life.
The Grand Chaplain serves as the spiritual father of the Accra West Grand Commandery and Ladies Auxiliary — guiding the Order in prayer, worship, and fidelity to the teachings of the Catholic Church.
At Grand Convention, feast day celebrations, memorial masses, and degree exemplifications, the Chaplain presides at the altar and offers counsel to Grand officers, commandery presidents, and auxiliary leaders across thirty commanderies and twenty-seven auxiliaries.
Through retreats, homilies, and pastoral visits, the Grand Chaplain strengthens the bond between the Knights of St. John International and the parishes we serve — reminding every member that faith must come first in all we do.
The Chaplaincy also supports members and families in times of illness, bereavement, and celebration — a ministry of presence that reflects the charity and fraternity at the heart of KSJI.
